If you want to look younger without the sudden and dramatic changes that occur with surgery and most dermal fillers, Sculptra® may be the right choice for you. Dr. Balinger offers Sculptra® for men and women in Houston, Conroe, and the surrounding areas of Texas.
What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is a unique dermal filler that works gradually to reduce lines and wrinkles. The product contains poly-L-lactic acid to stimulate collagen production. The new collagen firms the skin and lifts wrinkles for a younger appearance. A gradual improvement in lines and wrinkles is preferred by some men and women who may not want dramatic changes. Patients who use Sculptra® as part of their anti-aging plan find that friends and family only notice subtle improvements over time.
How Much Does Sculptra® Cost?
The average cost of Sculptra® is $800/vile. Dr. Balinger discusses the benefits of Sculptra® during the consultation. If you decide that Sculptra® is right for you, we will review your cost after the consultation. We offer free initial consultations at our offices in Houston and Conroe, as well as financing options for our patients.
What Are the Benefits of Sculptra®?
- Gradually reduces lines and wrinkles
- Stimulates natural collagen production
- Treats smile lines, wrinkles on the chin, and marionette lines
- No downtime
- Non-surgical and does not produce scars
How is Sculptra® Performed?
Dr. Balinger administers the Sculptra® gel along the wrinkles with a thin needle. Each injection deposits a small amount of gel to produce a consistent and natural anti-aging benefit. Depending on the depth of your wrinkles, you may need up to three treatments over a three-month period. You may notice some improvement after the injections due to the gel-based formula. Collagen production can take up to six weeks.
What is Recovery Like After Sculptra®?
You can resume your normal activities after the Sculptra® injections. Dr. Balinger may advise you to avoid rubbing the area for a few days. This protects the distribution of the gel. You may have some minor swelling and tenderness at each injection site for the first one to three days. You can use makeup on the area after two to three hours.
How Long Will Sculptra® Results Last?
On average, the results of a Sculptra® treatment lasts up to two years. The longevity does vary depending on how quickly your body breaks down collagen.
Not everyone wants dramatic changes to look younger. If you are interested in subtle improvements of your lines and wrinkles over time, Sculptra® may be the right dermal filler for you.
