Radiesse® – a unique formula that works

Radiesse® differs from all other popular fillers. Rather than hyaluronic acid, the active ingredient is calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA). Tiny microspheres of CaHA, suspended in a fine gel, are injected into the skin, stimulating natural collagen production. The CaHA is absorbed over time, leaving the fresh collagen in place for a very natural lifting and firming effect.

Preparing for your enhancement

Before undergoing Radiesse® injections, you need to avoid blood-thinning medications, as these can trigger bruising. Avoid drinking and smoking for at least one week before your injections. When you arrive for your injections, you will be made comfortable in a private treatment room, and your skin will be numbed with a topical cream.

Once the areas you want to enhance are identified and marked, the Radiesse is injected with precision and in the correct volume. You may feel some sensitivity, but the experience is reasonably easy, as it takes little time to complete. Dr. Balinger uses the most advanced injection techniques, and his clients trust his skill and artistry when administering Radiesse® injections.

When your injections are completed, a gentle massage to ensure the product is in the best location may be performed, and a compress applied to limit any bruising or swelling. You are free to return to your usual activities once your treatment is finished.
